My books are creating new traditions in line with the kind of books I grew up with. What I loved about those books were that they were wonderful stories that were clean and inspiring. They had moments of humor and suspense. Most of all, the characters were kindred spirits, all of them.

Some of my favorites were the Anne of Green Gables books, Jane Austen’s books, Laddie by Gene Stratton Porter, the Little House on the Prairie books, The Secret Garden, the Nancy Drew series, The Borrowers, Dreams of Victory, The Dana Girls mysteries, the Beverly Gray mysteries, and many others.

Along the way of learning how to publish, I discovered Word Search books and I have been having fun creating those. I started with Geography and I had a lot of fun searching maps and reading up on all the different related topics I covered. After that I decided I wanted to do one on detectives from the movies, old radio, books, and television. The ideas just keep coming!

I have plans for a children’s series about Humphrey the Happy Camel and a series about a young girl named Lucy who grows up to be a nurse in World War I.

The stories about Humphrey are going to be a ton of fun, as soon as I find an illustrator or figure out how to do my own illustrating.

I also feel a calling to write books on issues facing people in our times, including their own sense of worth and belonging. I want people to be set free from the things that bind them. Therefore I started the True Freedom series. I have a book titled Your Life Matters for sale on Amazon and I have a book on Reclaiming Peace and Justice coming. Stay Tuned!
